Article 8 of the Agreement provides obligations for Parties to eliminate non-trade barriers on a timeframe which is mutually agreed by Parties. The Article also reaffirms the importance of transparency of TBT and SPS regulations as in the WTO Agreements on TBT and SPS. Any party is obliged to notify other Parties regulations and standards on TBT and SPS incident to reduce negative effect on trade as well as to protect human, animal, or plant life or health.
